My Most Successful Image
This is my most successful image because it accomplishes three approaches at once: complementary colors, hard light, and the rule of thirds composition. The light of the flame illuminates the detail of the candle wax, evoking feelings of warmth and intimacy. I found the most challenging aspect of this assignment to be finding subject variety for each approach as well as finding the most compelling composition of each subject. In the future, I will conduct more trial and error for composition and perspective to create stronger images.

Hi Abigail, I really like this image! I am drawn to the immediate beach energy I get from this picture, I feel like it could be a behind the scenes photo from a movie or music video. I think black and white was a great choice to focus on the car as the main interest of the image. The black and white paired with the depth of field limits unnecessary distraction from other subjects and colors on the street and highlights the white car as the focal point. A possible alternative for another appealing version of this photo could be a side angle from across the street to capture a new perspective of…
